I am always on the hunt for an easy and delicious pancake mix. Why not make them from scratch you say? Well, sure nothing beats making your pancakes from scratch, but when you have family over and kids, who has time for that? We have pretty busy Saturday mornings taking our son to tee-ball practice, running a gazillion errands, and sometimes you want to whip something up that is good for you and quick.

I came across the brand Wholesome Chow at Whole Foods and the label Organic, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free and Non-GMO popped out at me. So, your initial reaction is – oh it must be taste free too. But, NOPE, Wholesome Chow has really found the right ingredient combo to make some pretty tasty pancakes. 

My husband is always asking me if he can add a scoop of his protein powders to our traditional pancakes. I don’t know how you feel, but when he does attempt this, the taste is always chalky to me. That’s why it was so exciting to find this protein pancake mix that already has the extra protein incorporated into it. I love that this pancake mix is naturally organic, vegan and has 12 grams of protein. I personally enjoy adding an egg to the mixture, but that’s just me and not required.

  1. 1 scoop of Wholesome Chow Organic Hi-Protein Pancake Mix
  2. 1 organic Egg
  3. 1 cup of organic almond milk
  1. 1. Heat organic canola oil on medium in a non stick skillet/pan
  2. 2. Add 4 tbsp of the batter and cook in a pan flipping periodically on each side.
  3. 3. Add vegan butter and organic maple syrup
