So as I get *ahem* older…I am really paying attention to gut health and proper supplements. I used to be so on and off with them, but I’ve made great strides in being consistent. I believe that gut health is the core root of how everything else is going to function and operate in our body. Also, when you have autoimmune issues, you really tune in to your body more than others – facts. I came across specific supplements by Parsley Health: Probiotics, Vitamin D, and Magnesium which have helped me out tremendously.
In a nutshell, Probiotics help to maintain your gastrointestinal balance. It produces friendly and good bacteria in your digestive system. The capsules by Parsley Health contain microorganisms and provides seven probiotic strains. Overall, probiotics can help with eczema, digestive problems, and boost your immune system. Each capsule from Parsley Health contains Saccharomyces boulardii, which helps to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria. A lot of times you see me enjoy a bottle of kombucha on my Instagram, but that gets pricey drinking one a day. The tablet form is so much easier taking it at bed time and you don’t have to down a whole bottle of liquid. Probiotics are a game changer for me personally.
Magnesium helps with insomnia, muscle cramps, stress, migraines and nerves. Magnesium is a vital nutrient for regulating many body processes, including muscle and nerve function, blood sugar levels, and blood pressure. We live in a stress induced society, and it’s key to keep it under wraps with all we have going on. I’ve been taking one capsule a day by Parsley Health to help regulate all this….and it’s something I seriously need with two little boys!! LOL. It’s honestly calmed my nerves slightly which is huge for me.
Vitamin D helps play a role in the regulation of calcium and maintenance of phosphorous levels in the blood – a factor which helps healthy bones. It also helps to support the killer cells in your body that destroy dangerous pathogens. Call me crazy but I believe taking high dosages of Vitamin D during this flu seasons has helped me fight it – my family and both my kids caught it but I didn’t even while I took care of them. I haven’t taken the flu shot in years.
For women: so many studies have been done on how Vitamin D helps increase fertility, and helps with the prevention of breast cancer.
Lastly, Vitamin D deficiency could be why you are feeling the blues. I know my goal was to boost my mood and energy levels, and this was my initial purpose to increase my levels of Vitamin D. If you live somewhere gloomy, and aren’t able to catch natural sun rays which is a natural source of vitamin D – then having a Vitamin D rich diet is essential. We are told to bundle up and not go in the sun….and I know I’ve lived in gloomy areas and that is when depression hit hard.
Vitamin D benefits go on and on – helps with fatigue, hormonal imbalance, and decreases the frequency of how often we get sick. After discovering all the benefits of Vitamin D, I’m a true believer and love how Parlsey Health Vitamin D comes in a liquid form.
You can check out all the supplements I spoke about here on Parsley Health’s Site , and all their beneficial health articles which will help you make a more informed decision with your gut health. I truly believe we should do all we can to help improve our gut, health and mood as we only have one life to live. So make a good one. Cheers!
